Huset's Speedway

Up Next: Round 4 This Sunday!

Huset’s Speedway rumbles back into action this Sunday featuring the Dollar Loan Center Outlaw Sprints.

While Ian Madsen and Mark Dobmeier have taken the early season checkered flags, they trail in the standings going into Sunday’s event. Princeton, Minnesota, driver Craig Dollansky has been the most consistent driver. “The Crowd Pleaser” leads the division points. Meanwhile, Terry McCarl is fresh off a special victory in 360 competition during the Loren Barstad Memorial Series. The 7-time Huset’s champion will be looking for the win on Sunday.

Racing in the Coffee Cup Fuel Stop Championship Sprint Cars has been red hot to open 2014. Eric Lutz, Tommy Barber and McCarl have taken the first three wins of the year. Lutz has finished in the top five in all races so far this year.

Darrin Korthals has made his #11K Bolte’s Rolloff Service Street Stock the car to beat in the class. Korthals had been out of action for a few seasons, but you’d never know that by the results as the Rock Rapids, Iowa, driver has won two of the three features in the class so far this year. Cory Yeigh has the other win. Defending champion, Gary Brown, Jr., has battled mechanical issues so far this year and currently sits eighth in the standings.

Colter Deutsch has the most wins in the B-Modified class history at Huset’s Speedway. “The Kanarazi Kamikaze” has opened the season with two victories. Brock Hess used the high groove to claim the other win in the division so far this season.

In Hobby Stock action, Dustin Gulbrandson opened the year with back-to-back wins and that has put his #6 out front in the standings. Defending champion Zach Olivier is the most recent winner in the class. Gulbrandson, Olivier and Chad Lonneman have finished in the top five in the first three events of the year.
